Epic first entry is epic

So apparently I'm about to post my first entry onto Dreamwidth. It feels an awful lot like LJ, only with more benefits (FUCK YEAH FINALLY MORE ICONS!) and it's prettier I might say. If anyone knows more benefits, please share :)
I'll go dick around this site a wee bit more to explore and discover. Yay!

on 2010-09-01 05:29 pm (UTC)ALSO, you can grant people access without having to "friend" them back. Which is excellent if your journal is friends-locked.
ALSO, the people who run Dreamwidth aren't giant douchebags who hate fandom. (Did you know LJ recently removed the "/" as a possible character in tags? So no more Sherlock/Watson.)
ALSO, it lets you import all your LJ posts/interests/icons/tags/comments with just a few clicks. (Organize > Import Content)
ALSO, I am super thrilled you're here. ♥

on 2010-09-01 05:32 pm (UTC)I can't tell you how thrilled I am about the single fact that I now have 15 (!!) icons in stead of just six. LOL!
THEY DID WHAT?! Do they not know LJ only exists because of fandom?! I don't know anyone who isn't in a fandom who knows about LJ.
*runs off to import shit*

on 2010-09-01 05:35 pm (UTC)But whatever. I'm grateful to them for being douchebags. More love for DW!
(edit) Oh, btw: you can automatically crosspost DW posts to LJ. In case you left any friends behind on LJ that you'd like to keep in the loop. ;)

on 2010-09-01 05:39 pm (UTC)People should get over here, it's like LJ, only prettier and a lot more userfriendly. :D Why the bloody heck did it take me so long?!

on 2010-09-01 05:41 pm (UTC)Haha, god knows. Better question: what's keeping everyone else?? I love DW. The staff is super friendly and they're constantly working to improve the site - and unlike LJ, when they add new features they ask the users if they want them first. How fucking cool is that?

on 2010-09-01 05:46 pm (UTC)Finally a social networking site that listens to the users. I'm getting so tired of Twitter and Facebook adding and removing stuff out of the blue. FUCK YOU PEOPLE, I LIKED THE OLD SETTINGS! :(
Just did the import thing. God, it's like MAGIC *_*
Should make an entry on LJ now, to point people here. But wouldn't they all need codes and stuff?
